Telemetry System Installation at Neelum River

Blue Green Nexus has successfully installed a telemetry system on the Neelum River for the Public Health Engineering Department of the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, working in partnership with Burraq Integrated Solutions. The assignment covered the full scope of telemetry deployment that defines the company’s hydro informatics practice, including sensor selection and calibration, datalogger and communication device installation, site selection and fabrication of ancillary infrastructure suited to the river’s terrain, and the automation and back-end data processing systems needed to convert field readings into usable water and weather information for the department.

This installation gives the Public Health Engineering Department a near real time view of river conditions on the Neelum, supporting more informed decisions on water supply operations and early warning in a river system where timely data has historically been limited. For Blue Green Nexus, the project is a direct application of the telemetry capability the company has built specifically for the Pakistani context, and the partnership with Burraq Integrated Solutions demonstrates the company’s model of combining in house hydro informatics expertise with local implementation partners to deliver field ready systems in difficult mountain terrain.
